Picnic for all

Join us when Care for Young, together with the shops in the street walk, invites the city’s citizens to a covered table at Storebro along Storå in Holstebro’s city center.
With Picnic for all, we encourage young and old across generations and professions to eat together and celebrate what we can as we reach out and lift the city together at Storebro along Storå.
Everyone is welcome to attend and get a seat at the table. There will be music, dance, theater, speeches and great entertainment around the bridge and the river with unexpected and spectacular acts.
At 17.00, it begins with an opening ceremony, NTL Fools serve in merry ways and Play On Wood Band – marimba orchestra from Holstebro music school plays. Then there will be performances from the ballet school, Dansk Talentakademi, Holstebro Musik Korps, Kayak Club Pagaj, and NTL Fools band, dancing on stilts, Flamenco and Apecar Theater Stage from Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium.
In between there will be speeches by Peter Nørgaard – about the joy of doing something together, Per Tornvig – about the joy of being in doubt, and other cheerful speeches – about the joy of gathering at a long table by the river in the center of the city.

Between 17.00 and 19.30 you can take a seat at the table.
The table is set with tableware and you bring your own food.
You can bring your own picnic basket or order food from Café Care and the restaurants in the pedestrian zone: Café Aas, Italia, Havana, Rhodos, and bring it to your table.
The Picnic for All is an opportunity to thank the companies that prepared young people for life, for jobs, for education and for new dreams.
Care for Young will celebrate the joy of moving on where you least expect it. So they invite you to a long table along the river with white tablecloths and festivities.
In Care for Young, young people aged 17-24 are connected and develop life skills, self-confidence and the belief that they have value. Together with business leaders and volunteer mentors, they figure out what the next step in life should be for them – education, a job or another dream to live out.
