UPROAR is a crazy and fun performance, which is deeply musical and thoroughly choreographed with an amazing scenographic expression and lighting design. On stage we meet a bunch of revolutionary preachers who, through a ritual, invoke the great DADA spirit, who announces his arrival by speaking gibberish to us from a urinal that stands like an altar in the middle of the stage. Through dance, gibberish, wild music and nonsensical rituals, the cast conjures up a force strong enough and, above all, alive enough to pull us out of the condition of our time. Both out of the actual time, the hours and minutes that control our lives, but also out of the zeitgeist and the commercialization that permeates our time, right into the interpersonal relationships. And throughout the performance, it is precisely this irrepressibly optimistic force that rules. It’s funny, beautiful, touching and wild.
A little over 100 years ago, the Dadaists went wild with their art riot in Zurich and at the same time the great Russian Revolution took place. Now the time seems ripe for a new art revolt and it starts here!
On stage is a strong team of dancers, performers and musicians. All play instruments: marimba, theremin, double bass, accordion, bassoon, drums, bass clarinet, keyboards, etc.
